We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Assistant to join our Comms team in Bath on a 10 month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for helping to continue to grow, shape and maintain FCBStudios’ brand through identifying media opportunities, maintaining existing media relations, and promoting positive public awareness of our Practice through external communications.
Alongside helping support our communications efforts, you will also have the opportunity to flex those creative communication skills via our social media channels by creating stand out campaigns and posts promoting FCBStudios and related events and news to help grow our audience.
Main Responsibilities:
Helping support in defining the company's public relations goals by developing and implementing strategies to maintain the company's public image
Writing and distributing detailed press releases and social media posts
Cultivating strong relationships with media outlets to ensure efficient communication and maximum coverage
Working with the communications team to plan and implement campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness
Analysing the outcome of public relations campaigns and reporting the findings and recommendations
Maintaining an up-to-date press list of journalists, influencers, and other members of the media
Ensuring the primary website is updated, procure and manage new content
Staying up to date with industry trends and events, and competitor activities to identify PR opportunities
Understanding brand guidelines and consistently implementing the brand voice across all channels and communications materials
Assist with contact database and events diary management
Assist with awards logistics.
Person Specification
Skills/ Experience:
Prior experience within PR and Communications
Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through various channels
Solid knowledge of social media (blogs, Instagram, LinkedIn, X etc.)
Good communication skills, particularly with team members – feeding back on workload, deadlines, etc
A people person with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Database and graphic design skills experience
Software: Microsoft Office, Adobe or Affinity suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (Adobe Premier an advantage)
Previous experience of using marketing automation platforms (Mailchimp) an advantage.
