CAREERS

The strength of our practice is its people. FCBStudios brings together energetic and talented individuals from all walks of life to work, learn and grow together in an inclusive environment.

Through collaborative practice, continual learning and challenging our preconceptions, together, we deliver outstanding projects.

WHAT WE OFFER

Our studios are an open and social environment. We gather together at lunch and alongside group coffee and tea times, to talk, collaborate and share experiences.

We benchmark our salaries, with the intention of paying equivalent to or above our peers, and we have a staff benefits package which includes:

Generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase additional holiday
Cycle to work scheme and insurance
Annual profit share (discretionary)
Income protection
Employers pension contribution
A comprehensive professional development programme
Employee Assistance Programme
Paid parental leave

We have an annual awayday for the whole practice, summer and Christmas parties, and organise regular social, sporting and design events.  We take part in industry and local events, like the London Festival of Architecture, Forest of The Imagination and Open House, and have a lively cross-practice Bike Club, taking part in small and large challenges.

WHAT WE DO

We make cities, buildings, communities and networks.

We find the value in our work. The ability to add social value, opportunities for low carbon architecture, telling the stories behind the buildings, carefully designed with budget and quality in mind.

Our approach is social and contemporary, continually seeking solutions to real world problems.

WE'LL SUPPORT YOU THROUGH YOUR CAREER

On your first day, you will be allocated a ‘buddy’ and a ‘mentor’ to support you as you settle into your new role. Our induction programme will give you the opportunity to meet colleagues whilst understanding how we work.

We run a full technical CPD programme for architects, online and face-to-face training for software and soft skills, workshops and talks on inspirational topics, and tailored training opportunities for specialist roles. Everyone is encouraged to join our mentoring scheme and to pursue their development through practice groups and learning from our internal experts.

We support those wanting to qualify as Architects in the UK by sponsoring Part 3 studies, and we back our employees by joining supporting specialist professional qualifications (from Passivhaus to Accounting). FCBStudios is also part of the Architecture Apprenticeships Trailblazer group.

Equity Diversity Inclusion

We take Equity Diversity and Inclusion seriously across the practice.

We have signed the RIBA Inclusion Charter, have an active and engaged EDI Forum to create positive change within the practice. Our Plan of Action includes practice initiatives around the Gender Pay Gap, increasing diversity within the practice at all levels through recruitment, mentoring and training and the education of all employees around issues of diversity.

We support the diversity of those coming into the profession through a number of internal initiatives and partnership schools, universities and with external organisations.
