Keith joined the practice in 1987, made Partner in 1995, and set up the London Studio in 1998.

He has led many of FCBStudios' award-winning projects, including 2008 RIBA Stirling Prize winner Accordia Housing, 2014 Stirling Prize shortlisted Manchester School of Art and 2023 Stirling Prize shortlisted University of Warwick Faculty of Arts.

His recent work encompasses major urban regeneration schemes, together with public museums, galleries and major university projects throughout the UK. Keith is a Design Council Ambassador and a previous Chair of CABE National Design Review Panel and Oxford Design Review Panel. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Bath in 2018.

Keith is a guest critic and lecturer at a number of Schools of Architecture in the UK, and a frequent speaker at conferences in the UK and internationally, including regular contributor and judge of the World Architecture Awards. Keith has co-authored FCBS books, and other publications.
