Hugo is a partner at FCBStudios and leads a group of architects in the Bath Studio working on education, residential, masterplan and creative re-use projects. He is our Higher Education Sector lead.
He is also a Teaching Fellow at University of Bath. His first project at FCBStudios was Accordia, which won the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2008. Since then, he has delivered the University of Roehampton New Library, and Murrays’ Mills in Manchester, both RIBA award winners. Hugo has completed low-carbon Passivhaus projects for Kellogg College, Oxford, and recently King’s College, Cambridge; two major re-use projects at University of Bristol; the Catalyst Building at University of Staffordshire; and Bath Abbey (turning Medieval into low-carbon).
Hugo’s passions are the projects, the pursuit of zero-carbon, and building client relationships.
