Chris Pittway

Chris is a residential specialist with a decade of experience designing housing at FCBStudios. He most recently led a team for a successful planning application of more than 100 new, affordable and energy-efficient homes in Ladywell, Lewisham. Chris has also been involved in three different developments at Gallions Quarter, East London, which in total will deliver almost 1,000 new homes in the capital.
Chris has a passion for research - specifically in housing to bring new solutions to the problems of supplying futureproofed housing for all. He has collaborated with the Department for Levelling Up Homes and Communities to understand the impact of space standards on overheating as well as identifying future overheating risk in our homes. He is also currently exploring a retrofit research project that utilises design and planning derogations to unlock new funding mechanisms for retrofit – all whilst focusing on the experience of existing residents. Chris is a certified Passivhaus Designer.
