Alan is an architect and part-time teaching fellow. He is especially interested in atmospheric spaces, form and material, and designing through drawing and model-making. He has experience in higher education, masterplanning, and cultural buildings. Recently Alan has worked from concept design to technical delivery on Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus for the University of Bristol. His skillset includes client and community engagement, façade development, and complex systems coordination.
Alan graduated in 2010, winning the Architects Journal/3DReid Student Prize. His thesis project on theatre design was displayed at the Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries Exhibition. He now tutors Architecture BSc and MArch at the University of Bath.
