This week, Peter Clegg and Andy Macintosh joined Malaysian-owned YTL Developments to welcome Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in London at the official launch of Brabazon.

This ambitious project is transforming the historic Filton Airfield on the outskirts of Bristol into a new green and connected neighbourhood – one of the UK’s largest brownfield developments.

FCBStudios' role in the project includes designing and delivering the first two phases of housing, as well as masterplanning and securing outline planning permission for the entire 380-acre site.

A £4 billion investment by YTL businesses in the UK over the next five years seeks to transform the greater Bristol area and deliver over 30,000 jobs across the UK.  YTL announced around £2 billion of the total investment will go towards the Brabazon Bristol development, which comprises of 6,500 homes, three new schools and a 19,500-capacity arena, conferencing and exhibition space.

With 300 homes already completed and tenants moved in and another 240 underway, the site is marking a significant milestone in Brabazon’s evolution into a vibrant, low-carbon, sustainable community.
