On Thursday evening FCBStudios are pleased to host the Architect’s Journal screening of their debut documentary ‘The Stirling Prize at 21’ at our London office.
The 30-minute film about the history of Britain’s top architecture award will be screened before the RIBA reveals this year’s winners. The film revisits previous winning buildings to see how they look now, featuring exclusive interviews with Richard Rogers, Sheila O’Donnell and John Tuomey.
Projects profiled in the film include O’Donnell + Tuomey’s LSE Student Centre, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ West London Maggie’s Centre, Herzog & de Meuron’s Laban Centre, OMA’s Gartnavel Maggie’s and Zaha Hadid Architects’ Evelyn Grace Academy.
The documentary, commissioned by the AJ’s Laura Mark and filmed by Jim Stephenson, also includes footage of the AJ’s alternative Stirling Prize judging panel as they visit this year’s shortlist. The film reveals which project the AJ panel has picked as their Stirling winner.
The Stirling Prize at 21 will be available to watch on the AJ website later this week.
This is an invitation only event but AJ are giving away 5 tickets, click here to find out more and how to enter.
