FCBStudios have been granted planning permission for a new secondary school in Southwark on the site of the St Saviour’s Union infirmary.
Helen Roberts, Partner at FCBStudios said: “We are delighted to be working on this really significant regeneration project for Southwark, which will provide a landscaped campus of new school facilities in three new buildings. The new school will deliver much-needed secondary school places to the area and bring new life to the 19th century centrepiece of the existing Victorian workhouse infirmary, known as ‘the chateau’, transforming the character of the site.”
The school will be delivered in two phases, with phase 1 ready for occupation in September 2018, when 480 students will move in.
