Come along to Chelsea Academy for a walking tour around the academy with Partner John Southall.
Open House London will be running walks, talks and tours around a selection of the capital's buildings to celebrate it's annual festival of architecture and design.
FCBStudios project Chelsea Academy is amongst the list of London's splendid buildings open to the general public who don't otherwise have access.
The Academy is situated on a very constrained site in Lots Road, Chelsea. Sponsored by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) and The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, it provides world-class education for approximately 800 pupils in years 7 to 11 and 250 students in the sixth form.
The design provides identity, flexibility and an inspirational educational environment. The building design responds to the constrained nature of this urban site and the requirement for highly adaptable spaces to provide for future flexibility.
