FCBStudios will be holding a breakfast seminar in Manchester on 13th July: Creative Education: Ambitions for the next generation of Manchester’s schools
CREATIVITY in DESIGN, VALUE-ENGINEERING and PEDAGOGY
In a continued climate of austerity combined with rising numbers of pupils how do we get the best value out of our limited budgets for secondary school buildings?
We have five speakers who have very strong ideas to contribute to this debate:
Crawford Wright, Head of Design at the Educational Funding Agency: will talk about opportunities within the Free Schools budgets and programme.
Andrew Brewerton, Head of Plymouth College of Art: will describe the amazing success of the new Plymouth School of Creative Arts.
Helen Roberts, Partner, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios: will talk about learning from our recent award winning school buildings.
Professor Peter Barrett, Emeritus Professor University of Salford, Honorary Research Fellow University of Oxford: will talk about the measured link between classroom design and attainment.
Alistair Burns, Design Manager, Capital Programmes and Procurement, Manchester City Council: will talk about future opportunities for new schools in Manchester.
Come and join us for breakfast and a short debate chaired by Peter Clegg, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
Only 20 places left and booking is essential. If you would like to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org to secure your place.
