Office Support Assistant, Manchester

We are currently seeking a dynamic Office Support Assistant to join our Manchester office on a part time basis. Providing support to the Office Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a confident, outgoing individual who thrives in a busy, multi-tasked environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of a busy office. It is a varied role which includes front of house and hospitality management, administrative support to project teams including document control, and assisting with event management.

Excellent organisational skills are required as well as a meticulous attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines when required. A background of working in a creative or architectural atmosphere would be an advantage, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:30am - 4pm. (There may be some flexibility in this for the right candidate).

Salary: 16,000 - 18,000pa (pro rata) depending on experience

Group Coordinator, Bath

Embedded within an architectural project group this role provides administration support, prioritising effectively and often working to tight deadlines.

We have 4 project groups in the Bath Studio with each group responsible for carrying out a number of architectural, masterplanning and urban design projects.
Project support is diverse and challenging ranging from assisting architects in the preparation of InDesign reports to archiving project documentation upon completion.

Excellent organisational skills are required, plus a background of working in a creative or architectural atmosphere would be an advantage.

A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential and an understanding of Photoshop would be useful. Experience of InDesign a distinct advantage.

Architect/Architectural Technician, Belfast

We are currently seeking a qualified architect or architectural technician to join our Belfast Office to support the delivery of a major university project at site stage. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a set of core skills including:

- strong technical capacity in building materials and assembly
- analysis of technical drawings
- organisational skills and command of extensive information sets
- site inspection experience, keen eye for quality and technical compliance
- working in conjunction with large, diverse design teams
- an understanding of Design Management and associated reporting.

Experience with large, complex and multi-phased schemes across laboratory, healthcare and academic building sectors would be beneficial.

Design Manager, Belfast

We currently have an opportunity for a Design Manager to work with our Belfast team.

Ideal candidates will be reliable, self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team producing information in response to tight deadlines. Outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail is imperative. Advanced MS Excel skills and a knowledge of MS Project or Asta Powerproject is desirable; training can be given.

You will preferably have a construction or architectural related background, however, other qualifications which demonstrate an aptitude for report preparation and presentation will be considered.

This role will be based on site, in Belfast working under the umbrella of our Belfast office.

Architectural Apprenticeships

FCBStudios have played a key part of a Trailblazer Group of 20 Architectural Practices to create the UK's first Architecture Apprenticeship standards, in collaboration with the IfA, RIBA, ARB and over 12 UK universities. The group has developed two levels of Apprenticeship: Architectural Assistant which comprises of Part 1 qualification, and Architect, which includes Part 2 and Part 3 qualifications. Both standards have now been approved by the Institute of Apprenticeships.

Apprentices will work within a supportive, nurturing environment where they will be coached and mentored by highly respected professionals within the Architectural industry. Alongside the practical experience, an apprentice will attend university to undertake academic training.

Throughout the course support and guidance will be offered to ensure your experience is a memorable one.

Studio Support Assistant- London

We are currently seeking a dynamic Studio Support Assistant to join our studio in central London. Providing support to the Studio Manager and the project support team, this is an excellent opportunity for a confident, outgoing individual who thrives in a busy, multi-tasked environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in making sure our studio of around 90 staff runs smoothly each day. It is a varied role, covering everything from organising premises, managing stationery and other supplies, liaising with our finance team, and supporting Reception in taking calls through to running general errands and supporting admin on projects where needed. The role also offers the opportunity to assist with events from time to time.

Excellent organisational skills are required as well as a meticulous attention to detail and an ability to meet tight deadlines when required. A background of working in a creative or architectural atmosphere would be an advantage, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday 9.00am-6.00pm., however we are open to the possibility of this role being filled by 2 part-time candidates.
