BIM Manager- Bath or London Studio

We are looking for someone to take on the exciting challenge of expanding our BIM process across the practice while overseeing our growing team of BIM coordinators and BIM enthusiastic Architects. This position will operate at a senior level but with a hands-on approach when needed.

As our practice continues to fully embrace the opportunities of BIM, and to benefit from the efficiencies obtained through integrated BIM processes, it is important that we recognise, value and protect existing modalities of creative practice. Methods of design, communication and collaboration that lead to our best work must be seamlessly combined with enhanced and more joined-up development in the BIM environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of this cultural dimension, and offer a clear vision of how to adaptively balance creative and exploratory design practice with effective and well-oiled systems for BIM based development and delivery

The role would suit an experienced Architect with BIM Management skills as well as experienced BIM Managers and Construction Professionals with significant BIM experience. The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, good communication skills and good project management experience, will also be able to talk and be understood with ease about excellent BIM practice to anyone across the Studios and enjoy the process of acceleration of BIM at FCBStudios.

This role will operate from either the Bath or London Studio, but working across the practice with the other members of the BIM team.

BIM Technician- Belfast

We currently have an opportunity within our Belfast office for a BIM Technician to join a close-knit team.

Main Responsibilities :

- Support the BIM process with projects across the Belfast office
- Acting as BIM Co-ordinator for multiple projects
- Take responsibility for the quality of own work, and consider ways of improving work processes
- Thorough knowledge of and compliance with FCBStudios' procedures and standards including all BIM documentation.
- Development and standardisation of FCBStudios' BIM library
- Creation of Revit families as required for projects
- Provide support to Project Teams in regard to BIM software and best practice
- Assist with Information Management Tasks across projects
- Assist with BIM Management and BIM Coordination tasks
- QA/QC on BIM projects

Skills Profile:

- Demonstrate ability to provide BIM/CAD production to cover project requirements for Design and construction.
- Able to demonstrate strong skills in the use of Revit
- Demonstrate drive, energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent organisational skills
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative and proactive approach to daily tasks and in response to direction or instruction

- Demonstrate a suitable qualification within a related discipline related to the CAD / BIM role and have a proven work background within this role or similar.
- Strong Revit family creation skills with a focus in parametric design
- Working knowledge of BIM methodologies and UK BIM Standards
- Working experience with Common Data Environments
- An interest in technology and its application in the AEC industry
- Experience working in an architectural/engineering production environment
- Experience working in Construction phase projects

Software Engineer, Bath

An opportunity is available in our Bath office to join the Information Technology Team taking responsibility for the development, maintenance and support of existing and new software systems: developing user interfaces and back-end services for both our internal systems and publicly accessible web sites and applications.

The existing set of software systems is diverse and interesting with excellent opportunities for creative development. The role works closely with Architects and support staff to make information available in productive formats alongside integrating applications and data. There are also exciting opportunities to work with Architects on competitions and live projects assisting with research and generative design.

Excellent verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential; flexibility and a passion for productivity and organisation are important characteristics for the role.

BIM Technician - London Studio

We currently have an opportunity for a BIM Technician to join our London Studio, working closely with our existing BIM team. This role will support the London BIM Studio Manager, engaging with projects across the practice.

You will have a good working knowledge of BIM methodologies and UK BIM standards, and hold a relevant degree/ qualification. Previous experience working with Common Data Environments is highly desirable.

The successful applicant will ideally be a recent graduate (ideally 1-3 post-University) who has strong Revit experience along with; excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a team and resilient to cope with conflicting demands

You will work with our content developer to create and standardise the FCBStudios BIM Library, whilst providing support to Project Teams regarding BIM software and best practice.

You will create Revit families as required for projects, ensuring all BIM documentation is compliant and in line with FCBS Procedures and standards.
