‘The pavilion’ explores the innovative use of ordinary construction materials and techniques. The design includes a structural skin comprising 2x4mm polycarbonate panels, a brick floor incorporating underfloor heating, and external shading that is programmed to swivel as the sun moves across the sky.
The event was attended by 5th year Masters Students from Manchester School of Architecture and served to enable a dialogue between manufacturers, practices and students, to provide them with experience of a real build that was project managed and tested innovative assembly of materials.
